Healthy Weston

What is a healthy community? The Centers for Disease Control defines healthy communities in its Designing and Building Healthy Places page as "A community that is continuously creating and improving those physical and social environments and expanding those community resources that enable people to mutually support each other in performing all the functions of life and in developing to their maximum potential."

To the Village of Weston a healthy community is one that embraces the belief that health is more than merely an absence of disease; a healthy community includes those elements that enable people to maintain a high quality of life and productivity. For this reason, the Village and its staff strive for continuous improvement. We welcome feedback from our residents through neighborhood meetings and focus groups so that we continue to provide services that are important to our residents and continue to make the community a healthier place to live.
